Cold morning! YAY!!

It is a fresh and brisk morning, 62 in my house! Briefly debated turning on the heater, but what the heck! It will probably be 75 by afternoon. Let's see how long I can make it without the heater!

On another note, my husband's weird eating habits may be rubbing off on me, or maybe I just can't stand another egg for breakfast since I gave up our carb laden Standard American Breakfasts. So, turkey vegetable soup it is! Thanks Sierra for making yummy soup last night!

Adam and I are off to church for a project/crafting day. Not sure how many will show up, but hopefully I can get a few things done. On the advice of my very wise daughter Halie, I have given up trying to create centerpieces for Clara's wedding. I am no good at it and I don't want to haul a bunch of stuff to Texas. She said we can take care of it all there with the help of the "Martha of Weatherford" Kim Hatch.

Favorite Things from Today

1. Awesome morning so far! My sweet friend and visiting teacher came by at about 9am to bring me fresh scones and the most thoughtful gift ever, a mug of hot herbal tea for my sick self!
2. Adam and I were unwrapping a few Christmas decorations and he put together a glittery snowman. Then he said, " Now I just have to find his arms."
3. I love the blessing of being able to have my son home with me all day! What a wonderful day and age this is that allows parents to choose homeschooling!

I just finished apron #11. I have been sewing little bits here and there for the past week and have a lovely stack of aprons to show for it. ( I had  cut out all the fabric a few months ago, making the sewing go very quickly)  I have one left to put the ruffle on, making a total of 12. Yeah! Now what to do with them? Etsy or craft shows or both? I promised myself I wouldn't buy any more fabric until I had sewn up all I had already purchased. Done!!!   Pictures coming soon.

My new favorite food.

I have been seeing and reading about Greek yogurt for awhile now. My loveley daughter Alex had some at her house and I tried it. MMMM... my new favorite food. Much higher in protein that regular yogurt (depending on the brand) and super creamy. If you like flavored yogurt you can cut the sugar by mixing it half and half with the Greek yogurt
